To accommodate existing drainage and ensure public safety, we are implementing enhancements to the pre-existing seepage drain that serves as a safeguard for the onsite ponds.
As part of this improvement, the seepage drain will be developed into a hardened brow ditch featuring a rip-rap lining. This ditch is designed to direct flows into an engineered detention basin for natural infiltration. These upgrades are specifically intended to protect properties adjacent to the surface drainage and have been designed by a civil engineer to manage flows more effectively than the current system.
The construction of these structures is being performed in strict accordance with the State Approved BMP Manual. Specifically, our team is following the guidance outlined in the following sections:
– BMP 22: Sediment Basins and Traps (Page 76)
– BMP 11: Drainage Swales (Page 44).
– BMP 17: Earth Berm Barrier (Page 59)
